Vegan Green Protein Smoothie

I try to have one smoothie a day. It's an easy way to get protein, fruit, and veggies in for one meal. This is a super simple and quick recipe for my favorite green smoothie with protein and spinach. You can use different fruits and add in more veggies too!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1 serving

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (I use almond or soy)

  • 1/4 cup water (optional, depends on consistency preferences)

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup of strawberries (you can opt for a fruit medley here instead)

  • 1/2 cup of fresh spinach

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon of agave

  • 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (I use Vega Protein & Greens Vanilla Powder)

  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseed or chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Starting with the non-dairy milk, combine non-dairy milk, water (optional), banana, strawberries, spinach, cinnamon, agave, and protein powder in a blender. Blend until smooth.

  • Serve immediately.

Tips!

  • You can add in the non-dairy milk and protein powder and just blend those first to get a smoother consistency and make sure all the protein powder is blended.

  • You can experiment with different greens such as kale or even a spring mix.

  • If you're using frozen fruit, you may need to blend the mixture up several times to avoid having small fruit pieces in your smoothie.
